Cuz you only thought I was crazy!

Alrighty, Here are the pictures of my kitchen. Which is still not finished but we are getting closer. I think i'm done with the cabinets, except for putting the hardware back on. I'm still trying to choose a paint color, which is not going very well.

If you don't remember this is what we started with.

Then we went to this, new corian countertop and marble backsplash. But for some reason I just could not get this kitchen to come together. I painted the walls twice, we changed the floor from laminent to a tile. And yet I still wasn't "feeling it".

So nothing left to do but change the cabinets, again. Which I really tried to avoid. So a week later, some primer, paint, and glaze here is what I have.

Look familiar? I should have just went with what I know and not try and go out of my decorating box. This is the 3rd set of cabinets I've painted off white. I have to say i've got it about down to a science.

See so now you know I am really crazy.

Catching Up

Happy Halloween! Gracie was a vampire, Chase a zombie, and Adam and I were Adam & Eve. The nieghborhood throws a big party, so we had to dress up as something.

Don't Play with Your Food! I have clearly not said this enough.

We tried a favorite Alaska past time. The kids did pretty good for their first time. Adam didn't do to bad either since it's been 20 years since he skated.

Under Construction

As you probably know I seem to have to have a house project. Even though we really tried to buy a house that didn't really need anything (as if there is such a thing) I find my self wanting to change, a lot. Project 1. The kitchen, which I new when we bought the house was not going to work for me. My house choices in E.R. were about 5, so we went with it.

I'm going to try and keep my progress up to date so you can tell me what's good and what's not on my choices.

Feline Frenzy!

Can you believe there's one missing out of this picture? Yep we currently have 4 cats. The one on the blue blanket is however on loan. Ash belongs to my friend "H" who is in Texas for the summer. She is the sister to Daisy and Rockie who are hugging each other (or fighting i'm not quite sure). Then there is the cranky old man Bo.

Do you think this is a cause for concern? That someday I will be one of those crazy cat ladies?

To The Zoo!

For the summer break i'm trying to be cool mom and take the kids on a field trip once a week ( if we can think of enough things to do). This week the kids wanted to go to the zoo. We haven't been in about 2 or 3 years so I said "sure." Well my BFF and kids came along with us.
The kids had a great time, but let me tell ya, mom was beat! It probably didn't help that after the zoo S and I dragged them to :

1. REAL DEALS - Don't worry H, nothin' good.

2. The Cannery - 1 1/2 later

3. Dairy Queen - cause those kids had been darn good.

4. JCPennys - Dress for J, Shoes for C, no luck though.

5.Around the Mall for a dress - to many stores I can't remember.

6. The Boy Scout Store!

I was out cold by 8:30 p.m. I'm pretty sure the kids were still up. Thanks Daddy for putting them to bed.

On Top of the World!

We took the 4-wheelers out Sunday, to Anderson Dam. We rode a trail that Adam goes on to bear hunt. And yes we did take guns just in case a bear didn't hear me and the kids coming a mile away. The 3 of us haven't mastered the art of being quite so the bears don't hear us. But Adam was pretty sure the minute he didn't take his rifle he would see a bear.

Anyhow it was really pretty up there, with tons of wild flowers blooming. However my allergies kicked in, so it was a good thing we took T.P.

My husband thinks it's so funny to take pictures when I don't know he's doing it!

FYI Microwave Users!

Most 8 year olds use the microwave right?

Mine has for a while. Today however he learned something new about the microwave and about the smoke detectors.

That roman noodles are flammable when you don't add water to the bowl! And that the batteries in the smoke detector need changed!
